GBK Productions, which took home last year's Biz Bash Best Gift Bag Award, joined forces with Ebony Magazine to make this year's Official Ebony Pre-Oscars Party the most impressive yet.

Hollywood heavyweights like honorees Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Quincy Jones and Ruby Dee joined other high-levelHollywoodguests to celebrate the history of Ebony Magazine and the legacy of African-Americans in Hollywood.

The event was hosted by my man E!'sKevin Frasier and the gorgeous Shawn Robinson of AccessHollywood.

Denzel Washington hung out backstage with his wife Pauletta. Pauletta is a patient person because women young and old were breaking their necks checking out Denzel in all of his hunky glory.

Ruby Dee was honored at the event and was just a vision of loveliness. A sweet woman who deserves all of the accolades she is receiving right now.

Garcielle Beauvais Nilon was a model and one of my style inspirations when I was a kid. I used to cut out her pictures, stick them on my wall and dream of looking as fabulous as she does. PS- She just had twins and looks fierce!

I met Niecy Nash for the first time at this event. I've been a fan of her Style Network show "Clean House" show for awhile and I am delighted to say that she's just and quick and witty in real life as she is on the show. I think she's going to go far. She's real and relatable, yet uncommonly funny--which is the magic combination.

And then there was Shar Jackson...

Let me preface what I'm about to sayby saying thatI LOVE Shar Jackson. I had a wonderful time with her at the Night of A 100 Stars party a few nights after this party. We talked about motherhood, and she shared some really personal things with me about Kevin Federline, her kids, her new manand other things... she totally a no bullshit type of person and I found that refreshing. No wonder creative-geniusguys like Quentin Tarantino love her!

HOWEVER, Shar should learn that when she goes to an A-list Hollywood event, she needs alsways look A-list. I think she was slipping this night in the style dept....

Proceeds from every GBK event are contributed to various charities. Beneficiaries of the even't elite suite will be Educating Young Minds and the John H. Johnson School of Communications. GBK President/CEO Gavin Keilly says, "It is a pleasure to be donating 20% of our event to African-American organizations committed to providing a brighter future for our youth."
